Artificial Atlas (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a community and discovery platform for AI builders at Artificial Atlas. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you browse our catalog or blog, sign in, organize a personal library, share a Collection or Stack, participate in an organization, or contact our team.
This policy covers Artificial Atlas, not the independent products, repositories, websites, or services listed on it. Following a link or using a third-party Skill or MCP server is subject to that provider’s own privacy practices.
Privacy at a glance
- You can browse the catalog and read articles without creating an account.
- Signing in with Google, GitHub, or Discord lets you keep your profile and library across devices. Artificial Atlas does not receive your provider password.
- Saved items are private. Collections and Stacks start private; you choose whether to share them.
- We use analytics and security services. Browsing without an account does not mean that no technical information is processed.
- You can edit your profile, export your account data, and delete your account from Profile settings.
1. Information we collect
Account and profile information
When you sign in with Google, GitHub, or Discord, we receive the account identifier and basic profile information used for authentication, including your name, email address, and available profile photo. We maintain session information so you can stay signed in. Google sign-in does not give Artificial Atlas access to your Gmail messages or Google Drive files. GitHub sign-in requests basic profile and email access, including a private email when provided by GitHub, without repository permissions. Discord sign-in requests only basic identity and email information, without access to your messages or server memberships. None of these sign-in methods shares your password with Artificial Atlas.
You can provide a username, biography, website, location, and profile image. Optional profile fields are not required to browse the site. Profile settings are currently an account-management feature, not a public member directory.
Your library
We store the Skills and MCPs you save, your Collection and Stack names and descriptions, item order, notes, visibility settings, and selected versions or enabled states, along with timestamps needed to maintain those records. This allows your library to remain available when you sign in on another device.
If you have an older browser-based library, importing it into your account requires your action. Importing does not automatically remove the original browser copy.
Organizations and team resources
When you create, join, follow or manage an organization, we store the profile and logo you provide, membership and role information, invitations, follows, shared resources, and records of organization changes. Invitation delivery uses the invited email address, the organization name and the inviter?s name. Owners and administrators can see pending invitation addresses; ordinary members do not receive that invitation list.
Messages and submissions
When you contact us or use Write for Us, we receive the information you submit, such as your name, email address, message, and any links you include. We use it to review your request and respond. Please do not send passwords, access tokens, confidential client information, or unnecessary sensitive personal information.
Browsing and technical information
Our delivery, security, and analytics services process technical information such as IP addresses, browser and device details, requested pages, referring URLs, approximate location, request times, and error or security signals. The information available to each service depends on its role and your browser settings.
2. How we use information
We use information to authenticate accounts, display and update profiles, save and synchronize libraries, provide sharing and export features, respond to messages, deliver pages, investigate errors, understand site usage, and protect the service against bots, spam, fraud, and unauthorized access.
Where applicable data-protection law requires a legal basis, account features involve providing the service you request; security and service maintenance involve our legitimate interests, balanced against your rights; and some records may be needed to meet legal obligations. Consent, where required for a particular activity, must be obtained separately. Reading this policy is not consent to tracking or other optional processing.
3. What stays private and what you can share
Your Saved list is private. Named Collections and Stacks are also private by default. If you select Public or Unlisted, anyone who obtains the sharing link can view the shared content. An unlisted link is not a password or an access restriction.
A shared view includes its name, description, and listed items, with relevant Stack settings. It excludes your private item notes, account email, and internal owner identifier. Avoid putting personal or confidential information in names or descriptions you intend to share.
You can change a Collection or Stack back to Private to stop future access through its shared view. This cannot retrieve screenshots, downloads, or other copies someone has already made. Public and Unlisted views currently use direct links rather than a browsable community directory.
Active organization profiles, their logos, and aggregate follower and member counts are public. Team Collections and Stacks start private and are accessible to organization members. An owner or administrator can publish a team resource on a public URL. Team notes are omitted from public resource pages. Organization membership does not grant access to another member?s personal library.
4. Public catalog and editorial information
Our catalog contains publicly available information about Skills, MCP servers, and their publishers. This can include publisher names or handles, descriptions, repository and website links, documentation, version information, and aggregate activity or audit information where available. Blog articles may identify authors and contributors.
Public catalog information is separate from private account data. Saving an item does not send your library or private notes to its publisher. If a listing contains inaccurate or inappropriate personal information about you, contact us with the relevant Artificial Atlas URL so we can review it.
Browsing, saving, or arranging items on Artificial Atlas does not run a Skill or connect to an MCP server. These features do not access your local files, agent conversations, prompts, or tool outputs. If you install or run a listed resource elsewhere, review the permissions and privacy practices of the software and services you use.
5. Cookies, browser storage, and analytics
We use cookies for sign-in sessions and related authentication checks. Browser storage remembers preferences such as your theme and may contain a previously saved local library. Removing site data can sign you out, reset preferences, and remove browser-only saves; it does not by itself delete data held in your Artificial Atlas account.
Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics to understand visits and interactions. It can use cookies and identifiers to measure activity across sessions and process page, referral, device, and approximate location information. See Google’s explanation of Analytics cookies.
Ahrefs Web Analytics: We also use Ahrefs for website traffic reporting, such as popular pages, referrals, and broad visitor characteristics. Ahrefs describes this service as cookie-free; that does not mean that every service on Artificial Atlas is cookie-free. See Ahrefs Web Analytics.
You can manage cookies and site storage through your browser and use tracking-protection tools. Google also provides an Analytics opt-out browser add-on. These controls have different scopes: a Google Analytics opt-out does not disable other providers, security checks, or essential account storage. Blocking essential storage may prevent sign-in from working.
6. Services that help operate Artificial Atlas
We use service providers for specific functions:
- Google: account sign-in, Google-hosted profile images, and the analytics described above.
- GitHub: account sign-in, basic profile and email information, and GitHub-hosted profile images.
- Discord: account sign-in, basic profile and email information, and Discord-hosted profile images.
- Artificial Atlas account services: our account system stores your profile, library, sign-in sessions, and uploaded profile images on our hosting infrastructure.
- Cloudflare: website delivery, traffic protection, and Turnstile verification on protected forms.
- Resend: delivery of messages submitted through our editorial form and organization invitations.
- Ahrefs: website traffic analytics.
Turnstile processes browser and connection signals, including IP address and user-agent information, to distinguish legitimate visitors from automated abuse. Cloudflare also describes processing to improve its bot detection in the Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
Information may also be disclosed when required by law, in response to a valid legal request, or when necessary to protect rights and investigate abuse. Not every provider receives every category of information described in this policy.
7. External links, media, and social sharing
Articles and listings may link to third-party sites or display remotely hosted media. When your browser loads external content, its provider can receive technical information about the request and may apply its own storage or tracking practices.
Social sharing buttons open the service you choose and supply information such as the article URL, title, and available image. Your interaction with that service is governed by its policies and your account settings there. Artificial Atlas does not control third-party websites or their collection practices.
8. Retention and account deletion
We retain account and library information while needed to provide your account and the features you use. Messages, operational records, and security information may be kept as needed to address the request, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. Retention depends on the information and its purpose; there is no single period that applies to every record.
Deleting your account removes its profile, uploaded avatar, and associated library records from the active account system. It does not delete your Google, GitHub, or Discord account, public catalog entries, independently published editorial content, or copies you or other people have retained. Relevant correspondence, security records, or provider backups may remain subject to their retention processes and applicable obligations.
If you are an organization?s only owner, transfer ownership or delete an eligible community organization before deleting your account. Leaving an organization or deleting your personal account does not delete team resources that belong to a continuing organization. Organization owners can delete eligible community organizations from their settings; imported catalog organizations require administrative handling.
Before deleting your account, export any data you wish to keep. Downloaded exports and browser-local copies remain under your control and should be removed separately if no longer needed.
9. Your choices and privacy rights
From Profile settings, you can update editable profile information, download an account-data export, or request account deletion. The export contains account and library records; it is not an archive of every external resource or a download of all image files. Account deletion requires a recent sign-in and confirmation.
Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may also have rights to confirm processing, access, correct, delete, or receive a portable copy of personal information; restrict or object to certain processing; withdraw consent where processing relies on it; or complain to a data-protection authority. These rights are subject to applicable conditions and exceptions. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing.
For help or to exercise a right that is not available in your account, contact us using the details below. We may request proportionate information to verify your identity and protect your account. Never send us your password or authentication tokens.
10. Security and international processing
We use encrypted connections, authenticated access, ownership-based permissions, and abuse controls to protect account information. No website, storage system, or method of transmission can guarantee complete security. Keep your sign-in provider account secure and treat shared links and downloaded exports with care.
Artificial Atlas uses providers with international operations, so information may be processed outside your country of residence, where privacy laws can differ. Applicable transfer requirements and safeguards depend on the service, location, and law involved. Contact us if you need information about the handling of your personal data.
11. Children’s privacy
Artificial Atlas is intended for a general audience of AI builders and is not designed for children. If you believe a child has provided personal information without any authorization required by applicable law, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
12. Changes and contact
We may revise this policy as the product, services, or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the latest revision. Where required, we will provide additional notice of material changes.
For privacy questions, catalog-related personal-data concerns, or requests about your Artificial Atlas information, contact the Artificial Atlas team by email with the subject Privacy request. Include the relevant account email or page URL and a brief explanation, but avoid unnecessary sensitive information.
